Hayashi's approach was to create a high-quality product that was built on the Vans pillars of skateboarding and surfing. Hayashi's seasonal collections have become Vault's DNA and have helped it clearly differentiate itself from the rest of Vans offerings. It's also important to know that designer Taka Hayashi, who used to be the graphic designer for Stüssy, has been working on this line since 2008.
